Fordham University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Lecturer position in the Department of Communication and Media Studies, to start September 1, 2023 . The position will involve teaching across our programs in Communication and Culture and Digital Technology & Emerging Media. Teaching will take place at our Rose Hill campus (The Bronx) and our Lincoln Center campus (Manhattan). The standard teaching load for this position is four courses per semester. The ideal candidate will be an experienced instructor with a proven track record in teaching at the undergraduate level. Experience of teaching at a postgraduate level is desirable (but not essential). The candidate should be able to teach courses that introduce students to the study of communication, media and digital media, as well advanced classes that focus on issues such as freedom of expression, communication ethics, and media and public responsibility. The salary range for this position is $68,889.60 – $71,500.
Requirements:
● PhD (completed or ABD) in a cognate discipline.
● At least 2 years of instructional experience in an undergraduate setting
● Proven record of teaching excellence and individual mentoring of students
