On Thursday, Nov. 17 at 5:30 PM in Tognino Hall, Duane Library, Rose Hill there will be a screening of the one-hour documentary Edie and Thea: A Very Long Engagement and the five-minute video Circle of Diamonds by B. Proud, both celebrating marriage equality. Q&A with Edie Windsor and B. Proud, and a reception will follow the screenings.
The event is co-sponsored by the Department of Theology, Department of Communication and Media Studies, and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
Edie Windsor is the civil rights plaintiff who triumphed over the Defense of Marriage Act and paved the way for marriage equality for all Americans. B. Proud is a photographer who documents long term relationships between same sex couples.
